The Power of Promotional Video

invest in your business

Grow your brand with a promotional video

Promotional videos are beaconing a must have, regardless of what you and your business do! In todays day and age, we’re consuming video content all day, every day. With this in mind, we now need to start thinking of a promotional video shoot for your business as an investment rather than a ‘nice to have’ or a luxury.

Over the years, South Coast Media Co. have worked in a variety of industries, such as the motor trade, high end property market and health and fitness, to produce our clients some truly unique promotional videos. These videos have gone on to prove to our clients that a professional video that captures and highlights the core beliefs of your brand is an invaluable marketing tool.

At South Coast, we take the time to get to know our clients true beliefs and find out what the business means to them. Sometimes, people know what they want, but sometimes that’s not the case so being armed with this rapport and understanding we can ensure that the project we propose and the finished video reflects them.

With the finished video is spread far and wide, they directly result in increased enquires and continue to build an online audience. (plus, it’s a great way to document your growth as you renew your promotional video!)

Using your video is where you really unlock the power of your video. Don’t just stick it at the bottom of your website and be done with it! post it EVERYWHERE, get sharing, get your employees to share it to their personal pages, have a go at paid adverts! Be proud of it! It’s always a good idea to ask for you video in a portrait crop, this way, you can post it to instagram reels etc and maximise the screen real estate you take up with your video.

There’s so many options for companies to produce your video and there is a lot of things for you to consider when choosing someone to make your video:

  • Their portfolio and examples of their work - everyone has a style (although an experienced filmmaker will be able to adapt this style) so make sure their style suits the kind of video you want

  • Your budget - As the old saying goes, buy cheap, buy twice, HOWEVER, this doesn’t mean you need to spend £10,000 on a full crew and all singing all dancing video. What a promotional video costs is a very difficult question, as there is so many factors to take into account. Set your budget at what the video is worth to you and your business.

  • Them - Make sure that the person / people you choose are a goof fit for you to work with. Nothing personal needs to be involved here but it’s important that you’re both on the same page when to comes to the ‘vision’ for the video, its your video at the end of the day and the whole process should be fun and enjoyable!
